Satellite Communications Systems Committee Results of the Solicitation for Opinions on the Draft Report by the Satellite Communications Systems Committee (hereinafter the "Draft Report")

- Technical Requirements for Ka Band Non-geostationary Satellite Communications Systems Using Satellite Constellation(s) Orbiting at the Altitude of 600 km (hereinafter the "Ka Band Technical Requirements"), which form part of the "Technical Requirements for Mobile Satellite Communications Systems Using Non-geostationary Satellites (hereinafter the "Mobile Satellite Technical Requirements") -

　The Satellite Communications Systems Committee, chaired by IKEGAMI Tetsushi, professor of the Faculty of Science and Technology at Meiji University, under the ICT Subcommittee of the Information and Communications Council, compiled the Draft Report on the Ka Band Technical Requirements, which are part of the Mobile Satellite Technical Requirements. The Committee solicited opinions from Saturday, October 11, 2025, to Monday, November 10, 2025.
　As a result, seven opinions were submitted. The opinions submitted along with the Committee's views on them will be made available.

　Draft Report by the Satellite Communications Systems Committee under the ICT Subcommittee of the Information and Communications Council

2. Future plans

　Based on the results of the opinion solicitation, the Draft Report will be discussed at the next meeting of the ICT Subcommittee, chaired by TAKADA Junichi, Executive Vice President in charge of Global Affairs at the Institute of Science Tokyo, and a professor at the School of Environment and Society, under the Information and Communications Council.
