February 21, 2025 Redesign of the “Information Accessibility Support Navigation (Act-navi)”

 The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has redesigned the “Information Accessibility Support Navigation (Act-navi),” which was developed based on the “Report of the Conference on Realization of Digital-utilized Symbiosis Society” and has announced that it is now available to the public.

1. Background and Outline

 The Information Accessibility Support Navigation (Act-navi) is a database containing information related to disabilities that was created by MIC in FY 2020 and has been operated by the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT) since September 2021.
 This website contains information required for:
 (1) Persons with disabilities who have trouble with communicating information, and their supporters;
 (2) Developers who develop products and services to solve such problems;
 And has been recently redesigned.
 In order to provide information that will be useful to as many people as possible in the future, we will continue to enhance the website's content, including information on ICT devices and services that take accessibility into account, based on feedback from users with disabilities and their supporters, developers, and other experts.
