February 27, 2025 Licensing for Entry into Specified Correspondence Delivery Business

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) consulted the Information and Communications and Posts Administrative Council (chaired by AIDA Hitoshi, Professor Emeritus, University of Tokyo) regarding the approval of applications for business licenses for the specified correspondence delivery business and approval to establish correspondence management regulations from 10 companies including Sasaki Transport (Representative Director: SASAKI Katsura) and approval of changes to correspondence management regulations from Nippon Express Co., Ltd. (Representative Director: TAKEZOE Shinjiro), and received a report from the council stating that it was appropriate to grant licenses and approvals as requested.
In response to this report, MIC has granted the relevant licenses and approvals as of today.

With the business licenses granted to 10 companies, including Sasaki Transport (Representative: SASAKI Katsura), the total number of specified correspondence delivery businesses is 627. The specified correspondence delivery business is positioned as a business that provides a variety of services with originality and ingenuity in response to the increasingly sophisticated and diverse needs of users, and it is hoped that the entry of these businesses into the correspondence delivery business will expand the opportunities for users to choose.
