April 11, 2025 Results of Seventh Meeting of Japanese, Chinese, and Korean Information and Communications Cabinet Ministers

 The 7th Meeting of Japanese, Chinese, and Korean Information and Communications Cabinet Ministers was held today in Suzhou, China.
 At this meeting, participants shared information on each country's information and communications policy initiatives and agreed to continue exchanges in the field of information and communications going forward.
 The next meeting will be held in Korea in 2026.

1. Overview of the event

Venue: Suzhou Jinji Lake Grand Hotel, Suzhou, China
Participants
(1) Japan: Mr. Imagawa, Vice Minister for Policy Coordination of the MIC, and others
(2) China: Mr. Zhang, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and others
(3) Korea: Mr. Kang, Second Deputy Minister, Ministry of Science and ICT

2. Main contents

(1) We shared information not only on ICT policies and initiatives in each country, but also on next-generation ICT and digital technologies, innovative apps, and the importance of cooperation and information exchange in applying digital technologies to meet the needs of the elderly.
(2) We recognized that initiatives in each country will promote innovative development in the ICT sector in the Northeast Asia region and will provide momentum for regional cooperation and sustainable global development.
(3) We agreed to continue exchanges at the working level, considering the changes in the ICT environment in each country and the progress in cooperation.

3. Others

We signed the joint meeting minutes, which summarize the content of the meeting, and decided to hold the next Meeting of Japanese, Chinese, and Korean Information and Communications Cabinet Ministers in Korea in 2026.
