April 16, 2025 Holding a Study Group Meeting on Access Prevention for Online Casinos

　To discuss legal and technical issues related to preventing access to online casino sites, including blocking, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) will hold a "Study Group Meeting on Access Prevention for Online Casinos."

1. Purpose

　To discuss legal and technical issues related to preventing access to online casino sites, including blocking.

2. Proposed agenda items for immediate consideration

(1) Recognition of the current state of online casinos
(2) Access prevention methods other than blocking (e.g., filtering, access warning methods, etc.)
(3) Review of legal and technical issues related to blocking (basic concept, rationale for implementation, institutional issues, and implementation issues)

3. Schedule

　The first meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, and subsequent meetings will be held thereafter. The interim summary of discussion points will be compiled in the summer of 2025.
