　The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) received a report from the Information and Communications Council, chaired by ENDO Nobuhiro, special advisor to NEC Corporation, regarding the Method (Consultation No. 1240 dated December 2, 2024).

1. Background

　In December 2024, the MIC consulted the Information and Communications Council regarding the Method. Based on the results of investigations, deliberations, and the opinion solicitation by both the Telecommunications Business Policy Committee and the Universal Service Policy Committee within the council, the report was issued.

2. Future plans

　The MIC will implement the necessary measures based on this report.
