May 14, 2025 Holding a Results Presentation Meeting for R&D Aimed at Expanding Radio Resources

　The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) will hold a results presentation meeting for the following topics: (1) R&D aimed at expanding radio resources that contribute to the effective use of radio waves, (2) R&D conducted as part of the "Strategic Information and Communications Research and Development Promotion Programme " (SCOPE), which ended in FY 2024 and (3) technology demonstrations by teams that advanced to the final competition of the "KOSEN Wireless Tech Contest 2024" (WiCON2024).

1. Overview

　To meet the growing demand for new uses of radio waves, the MIC is conducting R&D aimed at expanding radio resources and promoting the SCOPE. These initiatives are intended to reduce frequency congestion and enhance the efficient use of radio waves.
　The results of five R&D projects aimed at expanding radio resources that ended in FY 2024, along with 13 R&D projects under the SCOPE, will be showcased through exhibits of actual equipment or display panels, with presentations by the R&D staff. The results of the technological demonstrations by WiCON2024 teams will be presented, followed by discussions on how to further utilize and deploy their research results.
