Technology Strategy Committee Results of the Solicitation for Opinions on the Fifth Draft Interim Report by the Technology Strategy Committee
- The Future Direction of New Information and Communications Technology Strategies -

　The Technology Strategy Committee, chaired by AIDA Hitoshi, specially-appointed professor of the University of Tokyo, under the ICT Subcommittee of the Information and Communications Council solicited opinions on the fifth draft interim report on "The Future Direction of New Information and Communications Technology Strategies" (Consultation No. 22 dated December 18, 2014) (hereinafter referred to as the "Fifth Draft Interim Report") from Thursday, April 3, 2025, to Wednesday, May 7, 2025.
　As a result, 112 opinions were submitted.

1. Overview

　The Technology Strategy Committee, chaired by AIDA Hitoshi, specially-appointed professor of the University of Tokyo, under the ICT Subcommittee of the Information and Communications Council solicited opinions on the fifth draft interim report on "The Future Direction of New Information and Communications Technology Strategies" (Consultation No. 22 dated December 18, 2014) (hereinafter referred to as the "Fifth Draft Interim Report") from Thursday, April 3, 2025, to Wednesday, May 7, 2025.

3. Future plans

　Based on the results of the opinion solicitation, the Fifth Draft Interim Report was discussed at the meeting of the ICT Subcommittee, chaired by TAKADA Junichi, executive vice president (Global Affairs) and professor at School of Environment and Society, Institute of Science Tokyo, under the Information and Communications Council on Wednesday, June 4, 2025. At the next meeting of the Information and Communications Council, chaired by ENDO Nobuhiro, special advisor to NEC Corporation, the interim report draft will be deliberated based on the Fifth Interim Report by the Technology Strategy Committee.
