 To help medical professionals and others deepen their understanding of the importance of safe and secure use of radio wave medical equipment, such as medical telemeters, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) will deliver the "Briefing Sessions on Safe and Secure Use of Radio Waves in Medical Institutions" on demand.
 These online briefing sessions will include topics such as trouble cases, major issues, countermeasures, etc. that are related to medical devices that use radio waves. These topics are essential for the safe and secure use of radio waves at medical institutions. Participants are welcome to attend the sessions and choose the topics according to their interests.

- Topic 1: (about 60 minutes)
"Measures against radio dead zones for medical telemeters and a practical guide for radio wave management"
Lecturer: KANO Takashi: Visiting Professor, Graduate School of Medical Safety Management, Jikei University of Health Care Sciences
Chairman of the Electromagnetic Compatibility Conference Japan, responsible for promoting radio use in medical institutions

 This presentation will introduce local surveys and examples of countermeasures against radio dead areas of medical telemeters in medical institutions, as well as the contents of the Practical Guide to Radio Wave Management issued by the Electromagnetic Compatibility Conference Japan.

"Our Hospital's Approach to Safety Management of Biometric Monitors"
Lecturer: SAITO Masumi: Ohara HealthCare Foundation, Kurashiki Central Hospital

 The presentation will include specific examples of actual efforts for radio wave management at medical institutions and examples of improvements in radio wave environments, efforts to introduce wireless LAN monitors, and a comparative study of wireless LAN monitors and medical telemetry monitors, together with specific examples.

"Current Status and Issues of In-hospital Wireless Networks - as a Medical Device Manufacturer"

 The presentation will include the current status of medical devices with wireless functionality, issues related to the construction of wireless networks in hospitals, and cybersecurity measures for medical devices with wireless functionality.
