June 30, 2025 Results of the Public Solicitation for Applications for the "Project to Support the Overseas Deployment of Safe and Reliable Digital Infrastructures" under the FY2025 Regional Quota (hereinafter referred to as the "FY2025 Regional Quota")
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) publicly solicited applications under the FY2025 Regional Quota, targeting small and mid-sized ICT enterprises (SMEs) with local roots that are engaged in initiatives for the overseas deployment of digital technologies. The solicitation period ran from Wednesday, April 23, 2025, to Friday, May 23, 2025. After examining the proposals submitted, 20 proposals were selected based on the evaluation results.
1. Project overview
The MIC provides support for research and demonstration projects conducted by companies that use digital technologies to address global social issues, as well as those involved in the overseas deployment of critical systems and services that enhance economic security. In particular, it is quite meaningful for regional Japanese companies to engage in the overseas deployment of their digital solutions. This not only contributes to solving social issues and building a safe and reliable digital space in the destination country but also helps revitalize the local economies in Japan.
To promote the overseas deployment of digital solutions by domestic companies, the MIC solicited proposals under the FY2025 Regional Quota, as a continuation from FY2024. Under this quota, initiatives for project identification, project proposals, and project formation are supported with the aim of receiving project orders. The MIC has adopted the following proposals.
2. Results of the adoption
After examining the proposals submitted, 20 projects were selected based on the evaluation results.
