June 9, 2025 Holding a Results Presentation Meeting for R&D Aimed at Expanding Radio Wave Resources

　The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) prepared the Draft Guidance for Advertisers and Other Related Parties Aimed at Achieving Proper and Effective Delivery of Digital Advertising, based on a study by the Digital Advertising Working Group of the “Study Group on Addressing Issues Related to Information Distribution in the Digital Space” (led by Professor Masahiro Sogabe of the Graduate School of Law at Kyoto University), and solicited opinions from Wednesday, April 2, to Friday, May 2, 2025.
　The results of the solicitation for opinions will be announced and the Guidance for Advertisers and Other Related Parties Aimed at Achieving Proper and Effective Delivery of Digital Advertising, which has been compiled based on the results, will be published.

1. Background

　Based on the study by the Digital Advertising Working Group of the “Study Group on Addressing Issues Related to Information Distribution in the Digital Space” (hereinafter referred to as "the Working Group"), the MIC compiled the Draft Guidance for Advertisers and Other Related Parties Aimed at Achieving Proper and Effective Delivery of Digital Advertising at the 8th meeting of the Working Group (held on Monday, March 24, 2025), and solicited opinions from Wednesday, April 2, to Friday, May 2, 2025 regarding this draft. As a result, 141 opinions were submitted.
　Based on these opinions and the results of the discussions at the 10th meeting of the Working Group (held on Tuesday, May 27, 2025), the Guidance for Advertisers and Other Related Parties Aimed at Achieving Proper and Effective Delivery of Digital Advertising is now available.

2. How to obtain the materials

　Available for inspection and distribution at the Information Distribution Optimization Promotion Office, Advanced Information Systems and Software Division, Information and Communications Bureau, MIC (11F, Chuo Godo Chosha Building No. 2) It will also be posted in the "Public Comments" section on the e-Government General Portal [e-Gov] website (https://www.e-gov.go.jp ).
