July 11, 2025 Announcement of Content of Notification concerning Utilization Operations of NTT East Corporation and NTT West Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "NTT East") and NTT West Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "NTT West")

　NTT East Corporation(headed by President SHIBUTANI Naoki) and NTT West Corporation (headed by President KITAMURA Ryota) recently submitted a notification concerning its business according to Article 2, Paragraph 6 of the Act on Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation, etc. (Act No. 85 of 1984) (hereinafter referred to as the "Act"). Accordingly, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) will announce the content of the notification to the public.

1. Overview

　According to Article 2, Paragraph 6 of the Act stipulates that if NTT East or NTT West intend to engage in any business operations specified in the same provision, they must notify the Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications in advance of the matters prescribed by an MIC ordinance.
　Accordingly, NTT East and NTT West submitted the notifications describing the respective matters listed in Article 2.4 of the Rules for Enforcement of the Act (Ministerial Ordinance of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications No. 23 of 1985) on July 2, 2025. Accordingly, MIC has decided to announce the content under Article 2.5 of the same ordinance.

2. Date of commencement of the business operations

　The notification states that NTT East and NTT West will commence the servicefrom August 1, 2025.
