September 10, 2025 Publication of the Results of the Public Consultation on the Draft Report on Improving the Usage Environment to Address Various Issues Surrounding ICT Services (hereinafter the "Draft Report")

　The Draft Report was compiled by the Study Group on the Improvement of the Usage Environment for ICT Services (hereinafter referred to as the "Study Group"), chaired by SHISHIDO George, a professor at the Graduate School of Law and Politics at the University of Tokyo. The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) held a public consultation on the Draft Report from Saturday, July 5, 2025, to Monday, August 4, 2025.
　Based on the results of the public consultation, a report will be compiled and made publicly available.

1. Background

　The Study Group discussed the improvement of the usage environment for ICT services, and compiled the Draft Report at its 6th meeting, held on Thursday, July 3, 2025. The Study Group solicited opinions on the Draft Report from Saturday, July 5, 2025, to Monday, August 4, 2025. As a result, 57 opinions were submitted.
