September 24, 2025 Publication of the Results of the Public Comment on the Draft Interim Summary of Issues by the Study Group on Access Prevention for Online Casinos (hereinafter referred to as the "Study Group" and the "Draft Interim Summary," respectively)

　The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) collected public comments on the Draft Interim Summary compiled by the Study Group, chaired by Professor SOGABE Masahiro of the Graduate School of Law, Kyoto University. The public comment period ran from Friday, July 11, 2025, to Friday, August 15, 2025.

　Based on the results of the public comment, the final interim summary was compiled by the Study Group, which is now publicly available.

1. Background

　The Study Group held discussions on measures to deter access to online casinos. At its 6th meeting, held on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, the Study Group compiled the Draft Interim Summary. The public comment period ran from Friday, July 11, 2025, to Friday, August 15, 2025, during which 456 opinions were received.

　Based on the submitted opinions and the discussions at the 7th meeting of the Study Group, held on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, the final interim summary was compiled. It will be made publicly available.

2. How to obtain materials

　The published materials will be available in the "Public Comments" section on the e-Gov website (https://www.e-gov.go.jp).
