September 25, 2025 Adoption of Indirectly Subsidized Entities by the Fund Establishment Corporation (hereinafter the "Fund Corporation") under the FY2024 Supplementary Budget for the Digital Infrastructure Strengthening Project through the Distribution of Data Centers to Local Areas (hereinafter the "Strengthening Project")

 The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) is currently implementing the Strengthening Project. In connection with this project, the Fund Corporation recently selected indirectly subsidized entities to participate in the establishment of data centers.

1. Overview

 The Strengthening Project, implemented by the MIC, supports the local deployment of digital infrastructure, including data centers and Internet Exchanges (IXs).

 The Strengthening Project involves the establishment of a digital infrastructure development fund (a specified telecommunications equipment development promotion fund) and the provision of subsidies to private businesses that develop digital infrastructures using this fund as a financial resource.

2. Adoption of indirectly subsidized entities

 The Fund Corporation publicly solicited indirectly subsidized entities from June 9, 2025, to July 11, 2025, and adopted after reviewing the application details.

3. Future plans

 Once the necessary procedures are completed between the Fund Corporation and each indirectly subsidized entity, the indirectly subsidized project will commence.
