January 23, 2026 Establishment of the Public-Private Conference for Strengthening the Global Reach of Live-action Content (hereinafter the "Public-Private Conference")

　Based on the "Broadcasting and Distribution Content Industry Strategy Study Group Report," released on August 26, 2025, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) will establish the Public-Private Conference. The conference aims to formulate an action plan to strengthen the global reach of live-action content and to track the status of public- and private-sector initiatives under the action plan.

1. Purpose

　Based on the "Broadcasting and Distribution Content Industry Strategy Study Group Report," released on August 26, 2025, the MIC will establish the Public-Private Conference. The conference aims to establish a promotion framework to enhance the global reach of live-action content centered on broadcast and online distribution. It will formulate an action plan and track the progress of related public- and private-sector initiatives.

2. Items to be considered

• (1) Formulation and revision of the action plan
• (2) Tracking the status of public and private initiatives based on the action plan
• (3) Other matters deemed necessary
