January 30, 2026 Holding of a Symposium to Promote Safe and Secure Radio Usage in Medical Institutions (hereinafter the "Symposium")

 The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) and the Electromagnetic Compatibility Conference Japan (EMCC) will hold the Symposium.
 In the Symposium, experts will give presentations on the following themes: new wireless monitoring applications and the improvement of the radio environment in the medical field. Additionally, the "Practical Guide to Radio Wave Management for Medical Telemeters," published by the EMCC in June 2025, will be introduced. A panel discussion by experts will be held regarding the issues and future direction of radio wave management in patient monitoring systems. The Symposium will be delivered via on-demand streaming, allowing viewers to choose their lectures of interest, and we invite you to join us.

 The EMCC is composed of related organizations, including relevant ministries and agencies, industry manufacturers, and user groups, and aims to discuss measures to prevent and eliminate interference caused by unwanted radio waves. The Committee for Promotion of Radio Wave Usage in Medical Institutions is established under the EMCC. The committee conducts studies and surveys on the safe use of radio wave in medical institutions. The MIC actively facilitates its activities.
