Radio Regulatory Council Announcement of the Evaluation Results of the FY2025 Survey on the Degree of EffectiveRadio Spectrum Usage for Mobile Phones and Nationwide BWA,etc and the Results of Solicitation Opinions

　The Radio Regulatory Council (chaired by SASASE Iwao, Professor Emeritus, Keio University) publishes the Evaluation Results.

1. Overview

　Based on the provisions of Radio Act, when receiving a report from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) on the results of a survey on actual radio spectrum usage, the Radio Regulatory Council evaluates the degree of effective utilization of the radio spectrum, reports the results to the Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications, and makes this summary public.

　The Radio Regulatory Council made “Draft Evaluation Results of FY2025 Survey on the Degree of Effective Radio Spectrum Usage for Mobile Phones and Nationwide BWA (Broadband Wireless Access), etc” and solicited opinions for it from January 14, 2026, to February 12, 2026, and received 10 opinions.

　After discussions based on the submitted opinions, we reported this evaluation results to the Minister today, and announce this summary.
