March 4, 2026 Results of the Solicitation for Opinions on the Draft Ministerial Ordinance for Partially Amending the Regulations for Enforcement of the Telecommunications Business Act (hereinafter referred to as the "Draft Ministerial Ordinance")

 The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) solicited opinions on the Draft Ministerial Ordinance from Thursday, November 27, 2025, to Friday, December 26, 2025. As a result, seven opinions were submitted. The opinions submitted, along with the MIC's position on them, will be made publicly available.

1. Summary of the amendment

 On Monday, September 1, 2025, the Information and Communications Council submitted a partial report on the telecommunications accident reporting system in light of changes in the use of telecommunications services. In response, the MIC will partially amend the Regulations for Enforcement of the Telecommunications Business Act.

2. Promulgation and enforcement

 Today, the MIC promulgated a ministerial ordinance partially amending the Regulations for Enforcement of the Telecommunications Business Act based on the Draft Ministerial Ordinance.

 The ministerial ordinance will come into effect on Wednesday, April 1, 2026.

 A public notice partially revising the matters specifying accidents, reporting forms, and minor accidents to be separately notified by the Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications pursuant to Article 7-3 of the Telecommunications Business Reporting Regulations will come into effect today.
