April 28, 2026 Announcement of Contents of Notifications concerning Utilization Business of NTT East Corporation

 NTT East Corporation (headed by President SHIBUTANI Naoki, hereafter referred to as “NTT East”) has submitted notifications concerning their business according to Article 2, Paragraph 6 of the Act on Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation, etc. (Act No. 85 of 1984, hereafter referred to as the “Act”). We will announce the contents of the notifications to the public.

1. Overview

 According to Article 2, Paragraph 6 of the Act on Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation, etc., in cases where NTT East Corporation intends to run any business specified in the same provision, it must in advance notify the Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications of the matters provided for in MIC’s ministerial ordinance.

 Accordingly, NTT East submitted the notifications describing the respective matters listed in Article 2-4 of the Rules for Enforcement of the Act on Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation, etc. (Ministerial Ordinance of MPT No. 23 of 1985) on April 10, 2026. Accordingly, MIC has decided to announce the content under Article 2-5 of the same ordinance.

2. Content of the business described in the notification

 See the attached documents (excluding information deemed likely to harm the rights, competitive position or other legitimate interests of specific parties if made public).

3. Date for commencement of the services

 The notification states that, NTT East will commence the service from May 11, 2026.

4. Future Plans

 Details of the MIC’s confirmation of the notified business operations will be posted on the Telecom Competition Policy Portal at a later date.
