- Partial Report from the Information and Communications Council -
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) today received a partial report from the Information and Communications Council, chaired by ENDO Nobuhiro, Special Advisor to NEC Corporation, on the 433 MHz Band Tire Pressure Monitor and Remote Keyless Entry, which are part of the Upgrade Technical Requirements for Upgrading Low-power Wireless Communications Systems (Consultation No. 2009).

1. Background
433MHz Band Tire Pressure Monitor and Remote Keyless Entry has been institutionalized and introduced in Japan. In order to respond to expanding international automotive trade, from the perspective of further international frequency coordination, there is a need to expand the bandwidth of the same system etc.
In light of these situations, the Information and Communications Council has been examining technical requirements from the perspective of international frequency coordination. Today, the MIC received a partial report from the Council on technical requirements for tire pressure monitors and remote keyless entry using the 433 MHz band.
2. Future plans
Based on this partial report, MIC plans to develop relevant regulations etc.
