The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) solicited public comments from Wednesday, March 11, 2026, to Thursday, April 9, 2026, to review the range of frequencies, etc. available for specified experimental test stations, which have been publicly notified pursuant to the provisions of Article 7, item 5 of the Regulations for Enforcement of the Radio Act (Radio Regulatory Commission Rule No. 14 of 1950).

1 Background
Pursuant to the provisions of Article 7, item 5 of the Regulations for Enforcement of the Radio Act, the Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications is required to publicly notify the frequencies, area and period available, etc. for specified experimental test stations. Since fiscal year 2004, the range of frequencies, etc. available from July 1 of each year have been publicly notified.
We have decided to review the range of frequencies, etc. available for specified experimental test stations. Accordingly, we solicited public comments on the draft public notice specifying this range, etc. from Wednesday, March 11, 2026 to Thursday, April 9, 2026.
2 Future Plans
Based on the results of the public comment solicitations, MIC will promptly establish the public notice.
