May 14, 2026 Implementation of Information and Communications Month in 2026

— With AI Expand Lives Loving Society —

　The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications and the Information and Communications Month Promotion Council (*) will designate the period from Friday, May 15, 2026 to Monday, June 15, 2026, as “Information and Communications Month” to promote the widespread adoption and advancement of information and communications technology. During this period, events related to information and communications will be held throughout the country.
　Through these events, we hope to provide an opportunity for the public to deepen their understanding of information and communications, which play a major role in building a prosperous and secure society.
(*)Information and Communications Month Promotion Council: An organization composed of private-sector information and communications-related groups, established in April 1985 following institutional reforms in the information and communications sector to promote the spread and advancement of information and communications.
