Radio Regulatory Council The Results of Solicitation for Opinions on the Draft Revision of the "Effective Utilization Evaluation Policy" about radio spectrum usage and announcement of the Revised Version

　The Radio Regulatory Council, chaired by SASASE Iwao, Professor Emeritus, Keio University, solicited opinions regarding the draft revision of the "Effective Utilization Evaluation Policy" about radio spectrum usage from March 12, 2026, to April 10, 2026. Based on the results of the solicitation for opinions, the Council has revised and announced them today.

1　Overview

　The Radio Regulatory Council is required to prepare the policy about criteria, method and other necessary items for the evaluation and announce it, upon conducting evaluation for the degree of effective utilization of radio spectrum based on the provisions of Article 26-3 of the Radio Act (No.131 of 1950) .

　The Council solicited opinions on a draft revision of the policy from March 12, 2026, to April 10, 2026, and received 14 opinions.

　After discussions based on the submitted opinions, the Council has revised this Policy and announced it with the results of solicitation for opinions on that draft.
