May 29, 2026 Selection Results for Connection Points to the Demonstration Infrastructure Environment for Promoting the Widespread Adoption of All-Photonics Network (APN)

　The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) conducted a public solicitation for connection points to the demonstration infrastructure environment for promoting the widespread adoption of APN and selected the connection points.

1　Overview

　The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications has been aiming to accelerate the social implementation of the APN which will form the foundation of an AI society, by gradually incorporating cutting-edge technologies, and is establishing the demonstration infrastructure environment (APN innovation hub) that enables various stakeholders to actually verify and validate development outcomes, including product commercialization.

　As a part of the above-mentioned project, the Ministry publicly solicited facilities to connect to the APN innovation hub and work on creating use cases and conducting technology demonstrations with a view to the future social implementation and commercial deployment of APN and selected the connection points.
