June 11, 2026 Results of the Solicitation for Opinions on the Draft Amendment to the Public Notice Specifying Technical Conditions for Devices Not Required to Be Stored in the Same Housing as the Radio Equipment of Specified Low-power Radio Stations, Transmission Time Limitation Devices, Carrier Sense, etc.

– Development of the Regulatory Framework for the 800 MHz Broadband Low-power Radio System –

　The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) conducted a solicitation for opinions from Friday, April 3, 2026, to Thursday, May 7, 2026, on a draft amendment to the Public Notice Specifying Technical Conditions for Devices Not Required to Be Stored in the Same Housing as the Radio Equipment of Specified Low-power Radio Stations, Transmission Time Limitation Devices, Carrier Sense, etc., as additional regulatory measures for the introduction of the 800 MHz Broadband Low-power Radio System.
　As a result, three comments were submitted. MIC hereby publishes the submitted comments and its views on those comments.

1. Overview

　To facilitate the introduction of the 800 MHz Broadband Low-power Radio System, MIC prepared draft amendments to the Public Notice Specifying Technical Conditions for Devices Not Required to Be Stored in the Same Housing as the Radio Equipment of Specified Low-power Radio Stations, Transmission Time Limitation Devices, Carrier Sense, etc., and conducted a solicitation for opinions from Friday, April 3, 2026, to Thursday, May 7, 2026.

2．Future plans

　Taking into account the results of the solicitation for opinions, MIC plans to promptly develop the relevant regulations.
