Results of the Solicitation for Opinions on the Draft Report by the Satellite Communications Systems Committee (hereinafter the "Draft Report")
- Technical Requirements for 700 MHz Band Non-Geostationary Satellite Communications Systems for Mobile Phones Using a Satellite Constellation (hereinafter the "700 MHz Band Technical Requirements"), which form part of the "Technical Requirements for Mobile Satellite Communications Systems Using Non-geostationary Satellites (hereinafter the "Mobile Satellite Technical Requirements") -
The Satellite Communications Systems Committee, chaired by IKEGAMI Tetsushi, professor of the Faculty of Science and Technology at Meiji University, under the ICT Subcommittee of the Information and Communications Council, compiled the Draft Report on the 700 MHz Band Technical Requirements, which are part of the Mobile Satellite Technical Requirements. The Committee solicited opinions from Saturday, April 11, 2026, to Friday, May 15, 2026.
As a result, 26 opinions were submitted. The opinions submitted along with the Committee's views on them will be made available.

2 Future plans
Based on the results of the opinion solicitation, the Draft Report will be discussed at the next meeting of the ICT Subcommittee of the Information and Communications Council, chaired by TAKADA Jun-ichi, Executive Vice President for Global Affairs and Professor at the School of Environment and Society, Institute of Science Tokyo.
