July 24, 2026 Results of Solicitation for Opinions on Draft Notice to Partially Amend the “Notice Prescribing Measures That May Be Taken in Lieu of Measures Necessary to Prevent Radio Wave Emissions When It Is Difficult to Take Such Measures” (MIC Notice No. 65 of 2011)

－Establishment of Alternative Measures to Prevent Radio Wave Emissions upon Decommissioning of Beam Wireless Power Transmission (WPT) Systems and in Other Cases－

　The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) conducted a solicitation for opinions on the Draft Notice to Partially Amend the Notice Prescribing Measures That May Be Taken in Lieu of Measures Necessary to Prevent Radio Wave Emissions When It Is Difficult to Take Such Measures (MIC Notice No. 65 of 2011) (hereinafter referred to as the “Notice”) from Saturday, April 25, 2026, to Friday, May 29, 2026. As a result, three opinions were submitted. MIC will publish the opinions submitted and its views on those opinions.

1　 Overview

　Regarding measures to prevent radio wave emissions upon decommissioning of beam wireless power transmission (WPT) systems and in other cases, MIC prepared the Draft Notice to Partially Amend the Notice and conducted a solicitation for opinions on the draft.

2　 Other

　Based on the results of the solicitation for opinions, MIC will promptly proceed with the necessary procedures, including the amendment of the Notice.
