July 27, 2026 Publication of the Results of the Public Comment on the Draft Report by the Study Group on Access Prevention for Online Casinos (hereinafter referred to as the "Study Group" and the "Draft Report," respectively)

　The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) collected public comments on the Draft Report compiled by the Study Group, chaired by Professor SOGABE Masahiro of the Graduate School of Law, Kyoto University. The public comment period ran from Friday, May 15, 2026, to Monday, June 15, 2026.
　Based on the results of the public comment, the final report was compiled by the Study Group, which is now publicly available.

1　 Background

　The Study Group held discussions on measures to deter access to online casinos. At its 14th meeting, held on Friday, April 24, 2026, the Study Group compiled the Draft Report. The public comment period ran from Friday, May 15, 2026, to Monday, June 15, 2026, during which 236 opinions were received.

　The published materials will be available in the "Public Comments" section on the e-Gov website (https://www.e-gov.go.jp/ ).
