July 31, 2026 Release of the "Monitoring Report on Strengthening Governance at JAPAN POST Co., Ltd." (hereinafter referred to as "JAPAN POST")

　The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications has been holding “the Postal System Monitoring Conference” since 2022 for the purpose of following up on the promotion of postal services by JAPAN POST HOLDINGS Co., Ltd. and JAPAN POST in light of the requested items set forth when approving their business plans, in order to ensure universal services and properly promote the convenience of local residents using post offices. The Postal System Monitoring Conference held intensive discussions from December 2025 to May 2026 regarding compliance issues at JAPAN POST. We have compiled and are hereby releasing the “Monitoring Report on Strengthening Governance at JAPAN POST,” which summarizes the evaluation of JAPAN POST’s initiatives and the points the company should keep in mind as it moves forward with its efforts.
