August 19, 2026 Convening of the “Study Group on Revising Everyone’s Public Website Operational Guidelines”

　The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) will convene the “Study Group on Revising Everyone’s Public Website Operational Guidelines” for the purpose of deliberating on revisions to Everyone’s Public Website Operational Guidelines.

1．Purpose

　In conjunction with the upcoming revisions to Japanese Industrial Standard JIS X 8341-3, it is necessary to revise Everyone’s Public Website Operational Guidelines, which were formulated and published by MIC. To ensure that the revised guidelines are appropriate and easy to understand—incorporating feedback from people with disabilities, experts on JIS standards, local governments, and other stakeholders—and to ensure web accessibility for public institutions, a study group will be convened.

1. Revision policy for the operational guidelines
2. Revision of the operational guidelines
3. Other matters necessary to promote web accessibility initiatives by public institutions

3．Schedule

The first meeting will be held on Monday, August 24, 2026. Subsequent meetings will be held sequentially thereafter.
