Announcement of the Evaluation Results of FY2025 Survey on Actual Radio Spectrum Usage (Targeting Various Radio Systems and Public Service Radio Stations) and the Results of Solicitation for Opinions
The Radio Regulatory Council (chaired by SASASE Iwao, Professor Emeritus, Keio University) announces the "Evaluation Results of FY2025 Survey on Actual Radio Spectrum Usage (targeting various radio systems that use frequency bands above 714MHz)" and the "Evaluation Results of FY2025 Survey on Actual Radio Spectrum Usage (targeting public service radio stations)."

1 Overview
Based on the provisions of Article 26-3 of the Radio Act (No.131 of 1950) , when receiving a report from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) on the results of a survey on actual radio spectrum usage, the Radio Regulatory Council evaluates the degree of effective utilization of the radio spectrum, reports the results to the Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications, and makes this summary public.
The Radio Regulatory Council solicited opinions on the "Draft Evaluation Results of FY2025 Survey on Actual Radio Spectrum Usage (targeting various radio systems that use frequency bands above 714MHz) " and the "Draft Evaluation Results of FY2025 Survey on Actual Radio Spectrum Usage (targeting public service radio stations) " from Tuesday, June 16, 2026, to Wednesday, July 15, 2026, and received seven opinions.
After discussions based on the submitted opinions, the Council hereby announces the following two sets of evaluation results, along with their summaries and the results of the solicitation for opinions.
