January 15, 2024 Public Solicitation for Subsidized Companies (Executive Organizations) for the Project on Digital Utilization Support under the Supplementary Budget for FY2023)

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has decided to conduct a public solicitation from Monday, January 15, through Wednesday, January 31, 2024, for subsidized companies (executive organizations) for the Project on Digital Utilization Support under the supplementary budget for fiscal 2023.

1. Purpose of the project

The Project on Digital Utilization Support aims to eliminate digital disparities by conducting workshops that provide advice and consultation on online administrative procedures using smartphones, particularly for older people and others uneasy about using digital technologies. The project strives to create a society where everyone can benefit from digitalization. This public solicitation is for subsidized companies (executive organizations) that will provide financial support to indirectly subsidized companies (implementing organizations) responsible for conducting seminars.

From Monday, January 15, and no later than noon on Wednesday, January 31, 2024

Prepare application documents in accordance with the Subsidy Grant Guidelines for Information and Communications Usage Promotion Support Project and the Public Solicitation Guidelines for Subsidized Companies (Executive Organizations) for the Project on Digital Utilization Support in the supplementary budget for fiscal 2023 and submit them accordingly.

5. Points to keep in mind

This solicitation is for subsidized companies (executive organizations). Following the grant decision to the selected subsidized companies (executive organizations), a public solicitation will be conducted for indirectly subsidized companies (implementing organizations) that will actually carry out the project.
Additionally, the project is planned to be executed under the fiscal 2023 supplementary budget, and this solicitation is being conducted prior to the approval in order to start the project promptly once approval from the Minister of Finance for the carryover (next fiscal year’s obligation) is obtained. Therefore, it should be noted that the approval of the Minister of Finance for the budget carryover is a prerequisite, and the contents of the project may be subject to change in the future.
