December 17, 2024 Results of the meeting of “Japan-Korea ICT Policy Forum at Director General-level”

 The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) held the Japan-Korea ICT Policy Forum at Director General-level with the Ministry of Science and ICT, the Republic of Korea.

 Japanese side: Mr. TAKEMURA Koichi, Director General of the Global Strategy Bureau, Mr. TERAMURA Yukio, Deputy Director-General for International Cooperation, and others
 Korean side: Mr. HWANG Sunghoon, Director General of the International Cooperation Bureau, Ms. LEE Kyounglim, Director of the Americas & Asia Cooperation Division, and others

4. Results of the meeting

 The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) and the Ministry of Science and ICT held the Japan-Korea ICT Policy Forum at Director General-level in Korea.
 At this meeting, both countries exchanged views on issues of mutual interest in the field of information and communications, including artificial intelligence (AI), standardization, and Open RAN. They agreed to continue to further promote cooperation between the two countries toward the next “Japan-Korea ICT Policy Forum.”
