Land Radiocommunication Subcommittee Results of the Solicitation for Opinions on the Draft Report by the Land Radiocommunication Subcommittee
- The "Technical Requirements for Use of 5 GHz Band Wireless LAN in the sky" (hereinafter referred to as the "5 GHz Technical Requirements"), which are part of the "Technical Requirements for Advanced Use of Wireless LAN" (hereinafter referred to as the "Advanced Use Technical Requirements"), which are included in the "Technical Requirements for Upgrading Low-power Wireless Systems" (hereinafter referred to as the "Upgrade Technical Requirements") -

　The Land Radiocommunication Subcommittee, chaired by MITSUGI Jin, Professor at the Faculty of Environment and Information Studies, Keio University, under the ICT Subcommittee of the Information and Communications Council, compiled a draft report on the 5 GHz Technical Requirements. These requirements are part of the Advanced Use Technical Requirements, which are included in the Upgrade Technical Requirements (Consultation No. 2009, dated September 30, 2002). The Committee conducted the opinion solicitation on the draft report from Saturday, October 26, 2024, to Monday, November 25, 2024.
　As a result, eight opinions were submitted.

　The draft report from the Land Radiocommunication Subcommittee under the ICT Subcommittee of the Information and Communications Council

2. Future plans

　Based on the results of the opinions solicited, the draft report will be discussed at the next meeting of the ICT Subcommittee, chaired by OIE Yuji, professor emeritus of the Kyushu Institute of Technology, under the Information and Communications Council.
