April 5, 2024 Result of Solicitations for Opinions on a Draft Cabinet Order That Partially Revises the Enforcement Order of the Telecommunications Business Act and on a Draft Ministerial Ordinance That Partially Revises the Regulations for Chief Telecommunications Engineers and the Installation Technicians Regulations

 MIC solicited opinions on a draft cabinet order that partially revises the Enforcement Order of the Telecommunications Business Act and a draft ministerial ordinance that partially revises the Regulations for Chief Telecommunications Engineers and the Installation Technicians Regulations. The solicitation for opinions was conducted from Tuesday, January 30, 2024, to Monday, March 4, 2024. As a result, 12 opinions were submitted.
 The opinions submitted along with the MIC's position on them will be made available.

1. Results of public solicitation

 The MIC solicited opinions from Tuesday, January 30, 2024, to Monday, March 4, 2024, on a draft cabinet order that partially revises the Enforcement Order of the Telecommunications Business Act (Cabinet Order No. 75 of 1985) and a draft ministerial ordinance that partially revises the Regulations for Chief Telecommunications Engineers (the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications Ordinance No. 27 of 1985) and the Installation Technicians Regulations (the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications Ordinance No. 28 of 1985). As a result, 12 opinions were submitted.

2. Future plans

 The cabinet order that partially revises the Enforcement Order of the Telecommunications Business Act and the ministerial ordinance that partially revises the Regulations for Chief Telecommunications Engineers and the Installation Technicians Regulations have been promulgated today. They will come into effect on Thursday, August 1, 2024.
