July 30, 2024 Results of the Solicitation for Opinions on the “Draft Annual Plan for Monitoring the Safety and Reliability of Telecommunications Services for FY 2024,” and the Final Annual Plan for FY 2024

 The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) solicited opinions on the "Draft Annual Plan for Monitoring the Safety and Reliability of Telecommunications Services for FY 2024" (hereinafter referred to as the "Draft Annual Plan") from Friday, June 28, 2024 to Tuesday, July 16, 2024. The MIC will make the results available along with the Final Annual Plan for FY 2024.

1. Results of opinion solicitation

 In addition to various initiatives implemented by telecommunications carriers themselves, the MIC expects them to monitor their compliance with laws and regulations to ensure the safety and reliability of telecommunications services. To support this, the MIC has prepared the Draft Annual Plan in accordance with the "Basic Policy on Monitoring for Ensuring the Safety and Reliability of Telecommunications Services" (established on July 21, 2023). The Draft Annual Plan outlines the implementation policy for monitoring for FY 2024.  The MIC solicited opinions on the Draft Annual Plan from Friday, June 28, 2024 to Tuesday, July 16, 2024, and received one opinion.
