Results of the Solicitation for Opinions on the Draft Report of the IP Network Facilities Subcommittee (hereinafter the "Draft Report")
- The "Technical Requirements for Telecommunications Facilities for Intercarrier Roaming in Emergencies" (hereinafter referred to as the "Intercarrier Roaming Technical Requirements"), which form part of the "Technical Requirements for Telecommunications Facilities Enabling Network Switchover to IP" (hereinafter the "IP Switchover Technical Requirements") -
The IP Network Facilities Subcommittee, chaired by AIDA Hitoshi, specially-appointed professor at the University of Tokyo, under the ICT Subcommittee of the Information and Communications Council compiled the Draft Report on the Intercarrier Roaming Technical Requirements. These requirements form part of the IP Switchover Technical Requirements (Consultation No. 2020, dated October 31, 2005). The Subcommittee solicited opinions from Wednesday, December 3, 2025, to Tuesday, January 6, 2026.
As a result, six opinions were submitted. The opinions submitted, along with the Committee's position on them, will be made available.

The Draft Report will be discussed at the next meeting of the ICT Subcommittee, chaired by TAKADA Junichi, Executive Vice President in charge of Global Affairs at the Institute of Science Tokyo, and a professor at the School of Environment and Society, under the Information and Communications Council.
