April 24, 2026 Publication of the Results of the FY2025 Survey on the Status of Demonstration Experiments and Introduction of AI and RPA in Local Governments

　The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) conducted a survey targeting local governments—including the 47 prefectural governments and 1,741 municipalities—regarding the status of demonstration experiments and introduction of AI and RPA. The results of the survey will be published in the following reports: "Promotion of AI and RPA Utilization in Local Governments" and "Status of Introduction of Generative AI in Local Governments."

1　Survey on demonstration experiments and introduction of AI and RPA in local governments

　As part of its efforts to promote AI and RPA utilization in local governments, the MIC has conducted an annual survey on the status of demonstration experiments and introduction of AI and RPA in local governments since FY2018, and has published the results.

　The results of the FY2025 survey (as of October 31, 2025) have now been compiled and are hereby published.
