April 19, 2024 Accepting Applications for Dispatching “Regional Informatization Advisors” in FY 2024 Begins

 The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications is pleased to announce that it will appoint 222 individuals as Regional Informatization Advisors for FY 2024, and it will begin accepting applications for dispatch under the Regional Informatization Advisor Dispatch System.

1. Regional Informatization Advisor Dispatch System　

 Since FY 2007, MIC has been implementing a project providing advice on ICT utilization. As part of this project, MIC appoints experts as Regional Informatization Advisors. They are experienced in addressing regional issues through the utilization of information and communication technology (ICT) and data. These advisors are dispatched in response to requests from local governments, etc. (For an overview, please refer to the Attachment.)

2. Acceptance of applications for dispatch

 We will begin accepting applications for dispatch at noon on Monday, April 22, 2024. We will also offer multiple application periods to accept dispatch applications for this year. These applications will undergo review before decisions on dispatches are made. We kindly ask those in charge of .local governments, etc. to consider actively utilizing this system.
