In June 2015, the United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution officially designating October20, 2015, as World Statistics Day (WSD). This is the second WSD, following the first one held in 2010.
On World Statistics Day, activities at national level highlighted the role of official statistics and the many achievements of the national statistical system. International, regional and sub-regional organizations complemented national activities with additional events. On 4 December 2015, the World Statistics Day Forum 2015 was organized to disseminate the importance of statistics and consider ideal approaches for the statistical community under the theme of “Statistics for all, with all.”
