EROPA Tokyo (Tachikawa) Conference
From October 14 (Mon., holiday) to 19 (Sat.), 2013, the EROPA Conference 2013 was held at the Local Autonomy College in the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications and Hotel Forest Inn Showakan in Tachikawa city in Tokyo on the theme of “Enhancing the Quality of Public Government: Government, Governability and Governance.”
The conference is held every year by member countries on a rotating basis, and was held in Japan for the first time in 18 years, since 1995.
85 researchers and government practitioners made presentations, among which innovative initiatives were presented from the following local governments in Japan: Kyoto Prefecture, Tokushima Prefecture, Saga Prefecture, Yokohama City, Kitakyushu City, Takamatsu City, Miyako City, Mitaka City, Minamisanriku Town, Kawakami Village, and Kamikatsu Town.
